At Alpha Gamma Delta we understand that women come to college to continue
their education. This education is furthered by our understanding of each
womans individual needs and the unique qualities they possess that make them
valued members of our house. Our Scholarship Program is meant to help women
learn good study habits as well as continue their own.
We have a study table program which helps members study in a n environment which is best for them. Every member has to complete a certain number of study table hours based on their gpa. Some of these must be completed in quiet study table, and the rest are done in an environment most suited for the member's study habits. In addition to quiet study table hours Sunday - Thursday nights, we also have a study which is 24 hour quiet and a studio room to use when working on large projects. |
In addition to the study table program Alpha Gamma Delta offers the following incentives to her members for scholarship:
Pearl Dangle
Those women who attain a 3.5 GPA or above at semester will receive a pearl dangle to be attached to their Alpha Gamma Delta badge. For new members, any woman who receives a 4.0 will have the opportunity, at their own expense, to put a diamond in the middle of their badge.
Study Squirrel
At each chapter, a study squirrel will be given to a member that has shown exemplary study skills for the week, or has accomplished a scholastic achievement such as being accepted into an honor society, etc.

The highest sister-mother/sister-daughter GPA
Acorn Tree
Each woman that turns in an A paper or test will have her name put on an Acorn which will be put on the Alpha Gam Tree that hangs in one of the hallways of the house. (It is kind of like Moms refrigerator) The woman with the most acorns on the Alpha Gam Tree at the end of the year receives a $25 gift certificate to the Bookstore.
Alpha Gam Baseball
This is an award system to people who attend class, get a B test or paper, an A test or paper and a perfect score test. Each achievement earns a certain number of bases and the woman who has the must total runs at the end of the semester receives a $50 gift certificate to the Bookstore.
Scholarships
The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation offers some scholarships specifically for our chapter each year, as well as others which are nationally competitive. There is also a University scholarship for Alpha Gams who are business majors.
