Scholarship

One of the most important ideals of the fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda is scholarship. While the fraternity offers an atmosphere of fun and excitement, one of the main focuses is doing well in school. While there is a plethora of reasons people choose to attend college, the main reason is doing well in our scholarly endeavors so that we will be successful later on in life.

In place to ensure that every member flourishes in school is the Alpha Kappa Lambda scholarship program. This program offers an atmosphere that is ideal for studying. It is through this program where good study habits are taught to the incoming freshmen, and extra aid is given to those who struggle to achieve high marks.

This program has proven itself effective. As a house, our average G.P.A. has been above the average for all the men enrolled in the University, and has also been above the average of all Greek men enrolled in the University.

As if attaining good grades weren’t enough of a reward in itself, Alpha Kappa Lambda offers an academic rebate program that gives cash rewards for everyone achieving a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher. The rewards range from $25 for a 3.0 to $200 for a 4.0.
