Travel & Accommodation Information
ACCOMODATION
The University Inn in Moscow, ID (800-325-8765 or 208-882-0550) is the primary hotel for the conference, and they have a special conference rate for the INPC. You must call them directly in order to get the INPC rate — do not use the international online booking system.IMPORTANT NOTE: our room block opens up to the public on February 18th — to be assured of the conference rate and a room, you must book before then. Other hotel options can be found here.
AIRPORTS
You can fly into the Pullman/Moscow Airport (PUW) on Alaska/Horizon Airlines (800-547-9308) via Seattle. We can arrange to have you picked-up at the Pullman-Moscow Airport if you e-mail us your arrival time. Flights into this regional airport can be expensive. More reasonable flight are usually available to Lewiston, Idaho (LEW), 30 miles south, and Spokane, Washington (GEG) Airport, 90 miles north. Transportation to and from these destinations is available from BlueWaterTaxi (509-334-2800 or 208-883-2800). Wheatland Express (800-334-2207) offers a twice-a-day shuttle bus transportation from and to Spokane, stopping at the University Inn. Here's their schedule page: http://www.wheatlandexpress.com/airport.htm; it's possible to make a reservation ahead of time. Greyhound also offers bus service to and from Spokane International.
NEW: to help get folks together who may be traveling in the same direction, arriving or departing, we've set up a discussion area in which you can post your plans and organize car pools or taxi shares.
TIMING
The conference will begin on Saturday morning, March 15th and runs through early Monday afternoon. You will have no problem making the 4PM Wheatland Express back to Spokane on Monday (if your flight leaves that evening). If you have an early morning flight out of Spokane on Tuesday, you might consider staying at the Airport Ramada at Spokane International, which has reasonable rates and which is an easy walk to the airport concourse. Folks remaining in town will have the opportunity to participate in our "Public Forum" (and reception) — an informal panel discussion that attempts to make the philosophy of the conference accessible and relevant to the general public.
