These websites offer a lot of information on everything from applying for financial aid to consolidating student loans.

The U.S. Department of Education's PIN site - You will need a PIN number to access the federal web sites lited below. You may use this web site to request or retrieve your PIN.

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is the U.S. Department of Education's central database for student aid. Use this website to find out information on the feberal student loans you have borrowed while attending college, including how much you have borrowed from the different loan prgrams including Direct Loans, Federal Family Education Loans and Perkins Loans.

Direct Loans Servicing Online - Use this website to gain on-line access for information on your Direct Loans. You may access your account information, view your loan balance, change your address, and download deferment, forbearance, and electronic Debit forms. You can also view your payment history, change your payment due date and select a new repayment plan using the repayment estimator that provides payment amounts using your actual Direct Loan balances in the Direct Loan system.

The Direct Consolidation Loan Information Center - Use this website to obtain information about Direct Loan consolidation.

The U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid website - Use this website to find everything you ever wanted to know about repaying student loans. For example:

The National Student Clearinghouse Locate the current owners of your federal student loans using "Loan Locator".

The UI Student Loan Office (a division of Student Accounts) administers the Perkins Loan program. Due to the size of the program, UI contracts billing services for this program to Campus Partners (formerly AMS Servicing Group). The Campus Partners web site is: https://www.mycampusloan.com/.

The Project on Student Loan Debt has a variety of resource links, including this 2009 overview of new legislation and rules governing federal loans, and a list of institutions which have pledged to reduce undergraduate debt loads.
