Math 516 -- Groups and Symmetry

Below is a schedule of sections of the text covered in the course. The course is divided into four parts, with an exam at the conclusion of each part.

You are free to complete the lectures and exams at whatever pace works for you, as long as you complete all work by the semester-end course completion deadline.

• Lectures 1-9: Sections 1.2, 1.3, and 3.4 -- Exam 1
• Lectures 10-19: Sections 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 6.1, 11.3, 12.1, 12.2 -- Exam 2
• Lectures 20-29: Sections 12.3, 12.4, 12.5, 12.8, 12.9, 12.10 -- Exam 3
• Lectures 30-38: Sections 14.1, 14.2, 14.3 -- Exam 4
