Pep Bands for Vandal Athletics

The UI Athletic Band program provides bands to support Women's Volleyball, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball.

Volleyball Band (fall semester)

The volleyball band is a volunteer group and open to everyone. Games normally take place in the legendary Memorial Gym. This place has atmosphere!!! It is a loud venue with diehard fans and the band stands on the stage just above the court .

VANDALIZER Basketball Bands (fall and spring semesters)

Basketball band personnel are determined by auditions that take place in October. Membership is determined by instrumentation, musical ability, years in other athletic bands (including marching band), and volleyball game attendance. At the time of audition, each student must decide if they are able to play all of the games (men's and women's) or just half. Members receive a scholarship for their efforts and also receive academic credit for the course.
