Our Scholarship

At FarmHouse Fraternity one of our three attributes we strive for is scholarship and here at the University of Idaho we continue that tradition. With a scholarship program that is oriented towards helping the brothers in not only getting good grades and learning time management, but also helping them learn how to succeed outside of the brotherhood and college life.

Scholarships

FarmHouse New Member Scholarships: After each of the fall semesters the five new members with the highest G.P.A.'s in their pledge class receive a $500 scholarship from the FarmHouse Foundation. The Scholarships are awarded in the Spring semester and can be used to help offset the cost of school, house bill, or any other related expenses.

FarmHouse Centennial Scholarship: The FarmHouse Centennial Scholarship is given out to a current FarmHouse member. The requirements for eligibility are: Must plan to live in the house in the year the scholarship is awarded, have a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher, and must be a member in good standing with the house. The scholarship is given out in the spring each year for use in the following year.

Brian Ellis Memorial Foundation Scholarship: Brian Todd Ellis was born October 9, 1972 and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1991. Initiated in 1994, Brian was an active member and officer of FarmHouse Fraternity. Through the fraternity, Brian established friendship bonds, which remained strong throughout his life. Brian graduated from the University of Idaho in 1997 with degrees in Environmental Science and Geography. In August of 2001, Brian married the love of his life, Anne Nelson. Brian passed away from complications of Cystic Fibrosis on November 24, 2002.

The Brian Ellis Memorial Foundation was established by Brian's best friends and fellow FarmHouse fraternity brothers to keep the memory of Brian alive through the creation of an annual event high-lighting the sport that he loved to play. The proceeds from the Brian Ellis Memorial Golf Tournament will be donated in the form of a scholarship to a current FarmHouse member who exemplifies the qualities that Brian possessed; honesty, integrity, motivation and friendship. Additional proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to further the research and eventual cure for the disease.
