Lori at U of I in 1993

Lori Wahl grew up on a farm in northern Idaho where the remote location fostered her creativity.  She spent time making clothes for herself and her sister as well as dolls, barbies, and a few pets.  At the completion of a double major in Costume Design and Clothing, Textiles, and Design from the University of Idaho, Lori moved to Portland, OR to start her career as a designer.  She worked for Nike for 3-1/2 years in various roles starting as a sample sewer and leaving as a product developer.  In 1997, she started as an Assistant Designer at adidas. Six months later, she was promoted to Women’s Designer and continued to work on several different product categories including Women’s Workout and Team Licensed.  After five years with adidas spending the last year as a Senior Designer, Lori decided to try working at a small company to balance her skills learned at large global companies.  She moved to Hanna Andersson to work as the Accessory and Baby Apparel Designer.  In August 2002, her daughter, Elsie, was born, and it was time to pursue a freelance career. Since then, Lori has had a son, Ewan in 2006.  Currently Cool Sets and Asics are clients of Lori's. She also designs and produces a
