Scholarships
The
Mechanical Engineering Department awards a number of scholarships based
on academic performance,
financial need, and professional interest. The Mechanical Engineering Scholarship
Committee awards these scholarships.
The Frank Wesley Childs IV Memorial Scholarship was established in 1984
to honor Frank Childs, a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University
of
Idaho (class of ‘84). This scholarship is open to University of Idaho
students majoring in Mechanical Engineering. The candidate must be a junior
or senior when the scholarship is received and have achieved a minimum cumulative
grade point average of 3.2. In order to be considered for The Frank Wesley
Childs IV Memorial Scholarship, eligible students must fill out the The Frank
Wesley Childs IV Memorial Scholarship Application form which is available through
the ME main office.
