Research Interests
River and watershed processes including river restoration, sediment transport, large woody debris, and forest fuels management. Physical-biological linkages in rivers such as the hydraulics of fish swimming and hydrologic and geomorphic preferences of benthic macroinvertebrates. Climate and land use change on hydrologic and geomorphic forms and processes. Stream temperature modeling, computational fluid dynamics, hydrologic modeling, geospatial information systems, and advanced machine learning algorithms.
