Join
our unique program and study tropical agriculture and natural
resources in two countries. During the first year of study,
students complete coursework at the University of
Idaho, followed
by two or more additional years of research in tropical Costa
Rica.
Students
are jointly supervised by faculty at the University of Idaho
and CATIE throughout the entire program, which meets international
standards. Once all requirements are completed, students earn
a Ph.D bearing the names of both institutions.
