Nomination Instructions for Women of the Year Awards:

Athena is currently seeking nominations for their annual “Woman of the Year” award.  Up to three awards will be given to outstanding women faculty, staff, or administrators at the University of Idaho.  To be eligible, the nominee must be working in board appointed position of at least half time.  Retired personnel, those in temporary help positions, or Woman of the Year recipients from the past two years are not eligible.  Recipients of the awards will be honored at an Athena reception in April.  Recipients will be presented with a plaque and free membership in Athena for the following year.

Please include the following in the nomination:

1)      Name of nominee, their position at UI and their campus mailing address

2)      Nominator’s relationship (if any) to the nominee

3)      A nominating letter that addresses the following points:

a) Brief summary of outstanding professional accomplishments

b) Brief summary of outstanding service to the University and the local community

c) Brief summary of past or present outstanding service to Athena.

Nominations are due FEB 27th, 2009.  Send completed nominations to Athena Secretary Jana Stotler, Budget Office, campus zip 3166 or jstotler@uidaho.edu.  Please include your own name, campus e-mail and telephone number and indicate if the selection committee can contact you for any additional information or clarification regarding the nominee.
