Mathematics Education Program

An important part of the mission of the Department of Mathematics is the area of Mathematics Education.
The Department of Mathematics:
- Prepares pre-service teachers to become successful teachers of mathematics at the elementary, middle, and secondary school levels.
- Offers professional development courses for in-service teachers to increase their knowledge of mathematics and the teaching of mathematics (See Creative Geometry Workshop).
- Offers a M.A.T. degree by distance learning for high school teachers who wish to gain a deeper understanding of mathematics.
- Adds to the body of research on the teaching and learning of mathematics at all levels.
Some of Our Math Ed Courses:
